"Designed by George Nakashima, who visited the National Institute of Design campus in India in 1964. He worked with local craftsmen to produce 32 designs and detailed drawings of furniture, including this chair. The rights to produce these designs were given to the Institute, and they were made in the Institute's wood workshop until 1975. I found these in Ahmedbad and I am not sure when they were made, but they are still quite charming."
