Vintage mirrors from Mosques with either teak or rosewood hand carved frames. The writing is either in Urdu or Arabic and is generally a prayer or excerpt from the Quran. The mirrors are etched using a complex technique called Leptat, which was originally developed in the US in the early 1920s, and became a flourishing industry in India until the 1960s. These are particularly fine pieces, at least 70 years old. Please note wear is consistent with vintage furniture and there might be some imperfections. We think this only adds to the charm and authenticity.
